Story

In Rabanastre, der Hauptstadt des kleinen Königreichs Dalmasca, findet die Hochzeit von Prinzessin Ashelia B’nargin Dalmasca, genannt Ashe, Tochter von König Raminas von Dalmasca, und Prinz Rasler aus dem befreundeten Nachbarreich Nabradia statt. Die Feierlichkeiten werden jedoch kurz darauf von der Nachricht unterbrochen, dass die Großmacht Archadia Nabradia überfallen hat und annektieren will. Nachdem Prinz Rasler in der entscheidenden Schlacht gefallen ist, unterwerfen die archadischen Truppen nicht nur Nabradia, sondern auch Dalmasca.
